The re-imagining of this charming white weatherboard dwelling - a former coastal shack - transforms it into a sun-drenched family sanctuary. Retaining the structure’s original character, a thoughtful extension to the south carefully prioritises the influx of northern light, ensuring every new space is washed with warmth and clarity. The expansive walls and fluid transition between settings create an ideal canvas for the owners’ extensive art collection, maximising display area while maintaining a feeling of open, effortless movement.

Echoing the soft, ephemeral hues of the coastline, the interiors deploy a palette of gentle neutrals, where bathrooms feature soft rendered walls and precise travertine detailing, cultivating an atmosphere of serene retreat. Anchoring the social core, an entertainer’s kitchen and dedicated scullery open seamlessly onto lush outdoor spaces, all woven together with a mix of curated antique furniture, offering a comfortable, layered home with ample accommodation for visiting family.
