Viktoria & Woods Head Office
Designed as a compelling brand showcase, Viktoria & Woods’ head office transforms an expansive Hawthorn warehouse into a collaborative and sophisticated work setting – an extension of the brand’s in-store experience. Exposed ceilings, painted brick walls and honed concrete floors celebrate the warehouse vernacular, set against the refined details, luxurious materials, and crafted accents that the label is known for.
A refined reception area greets visitors on arrival, its gentle tone softening the warehouse’s raw aesthetic. Curtain-lined walls frame a minimalist stone and lacquered desk, complemented by a curved vintage sofa and fashion photography from Viktoria & Woods’ celebrated Corsica collection, shot by Darren McDonald. Beyond, a central modular sofa grounds the retail showroom, where curved garment rails display current collections with a gallery-like presence. The drapery-lined perimeter conceals an elegant board room finished with linen-slip tub chairs and a coiled plaster lamp by Melbourne maker, Sophie Davis.
At the warehouse’s centre, an open work room hosts Viktoria & Woods’ 60 employees, encouraging a collaborative culture between departments. Meeting spaces, timber benches and breakout tables, surrounded by turned timber stools by Melbourne furniture designer, Zachery Frankel, facilitate informal discussions and grant staff autonomy to move between work settings according to their needs. The rear space accommodates pattern making on site, offering a theatrical and ever-changing background that celebrates the label’s inner workings.
Beside, a light-filled office for Viktoria & Woods founder and CEO, Margie Woods, features a personalised curation of furniture pieces – an uplifting setting that honours Margie’s story and crafts an enduring, approachable tone. The warehouse’s opposite wing accommodates The Lofft – a curated brand agency and showroom representing Australian and international fashion, wellness, and luxury labels. Set between, a communal kitchen encourages the two brands to come together, socialise, and dwell.
